It’s that time of year. Whether you make fun of the cliché, engage in it, or chose to turn a deaf ear to the girl at the desk next to you raving about it—it is here, in full force, surrounding us. What am I talking about?

If you’ve been in any coffee shop, local to international within the last week, you know exactly what I am talking about. And, if you’ve been a somewhat active member of society for the last decade, you might also have an idea what I am talking about. But what is it about the leggings, UGG boots, an iPhone, and a PSL that has become the All-American staple? Here at Coffee Corral, we believe it might have less to do with what is in your cup and more to do with the phenomenon itself. Though we can’t deny, there is something fulfilling and comforting about that warm, soothing first sip of fall. But being true coffee aficionados, it is painfully hard for us to take a delicious latte with wholesome espresso, dump a sugary syrup in it, and call it a blessing. So we’ve taken the Starbucks PSL, and given it a twist.
Combining both the mainstream excitement of a PSL and the artisan enthusiasm of Cold Brew, the core ingredient in our All-Natural Pumpkin Spice Latte is our seasonally-inspired Autumn Brew. This Cold Brew variation (available for a limited time only!) is infused with six different seasonal spices to give your palate an understanding that autumn is here and in full effect. Keeping the PSL natural, we add Pumpkin Spice seasoning, a touch of vanilla extract, and a dash of honey.
But here is where the road forks. Let’s be honest, just as you start seeing Christmas lights before Halloween, Pumpkin Spice becomes a thing before we’ve had a break from ninety degrees and humid here in New Jersey. So we give you a choice. You can opt for it to be iced, and we’re going to toss the ingredients in a shaker with some milk, give it a good shake, and pour it over ice for you; giving you a foamy and unique creaminess. Or, you can keep it in the spirit of crisp air and crunchy leaves and we’re going to steam it up for you. Either way, you’re opting out of the processed, artificial sugar, and embracing coffee and pumpkin spice by matching the two, not masking the coffee.
